Keeping Youth Safe in Communities
The National Collaboration for Youth, a coalition of national organizations that advocates with and on behalf of youth, has issued a roadmap for reforming the juvenile justice system, urging policymakers, justice officials, judges and others to replace youth incarceration with investments in community-based alternatives. Jeff Fleischer, CEO of Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. (YAP, Inc.), a Public Welfare Foundation grantee, is the Chair of the coalition. YAP, Inc. specializes in community-based alternative programs.
